Nathan Butzlaff - DirectorAs a member of the JCG team, Nathan Butzlaff works on behalf of clients to advance their interests on Capitol Hill and in the executive branch. This has ranged from advising clients on the inner workings of Congress and procedural matters to executing targeted outreach campaigns to advocating for legislative language beneficial to our clients.

Mr. Butzlaff worked as a Legislative Assistant for Senator Lisa Murkowski, advising her on agriculture, Alaska Native Corporation 8(a) contracting, Army Corps of Engineers, the Denali Commission, financial services, housing, labor, pension, postal, tax, technology and telecommunications policy matters. He also served as the Senator's primary appropriations advisor, specializing in earmarked funding.

Prior to his tenure with Senator Murkowski, Mr. Butzlaff served as a member of Senator Ted Stevens' legislative staff. He advised the Senator on agriculture policy and appropriations matters, including earmarked funding. Earlier in his career, Mr. Butzlaff served as Finance Coordinator for Alaskans for Don Young, the campaign committee for Congressman Don Young.

Mr. Butzlaff received his Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University and is a graduate of Wasilla High School in Wasilla, Alaska.
