Client Objective:

A small business with core expertise in maritime security services sought marketing and business development expertise to expand federal business and strategically position the company for acquisition.

JCG Role:

JCG began with an assessment of the client’s messaging, discriminators, and capabilities. JCG reviewed and analyzed the client’s marketing efforts, including website content and design. To address gaps, JCG developed marketing slicks for the client’s core capabilities that focused on agency needs and highlighted the client’s key discriminators. JCG also developed new content and an updated design for the client’s website that would resonate with the needs of its target customers and communicate the value the client delivered.

JCG identified potential business opportunities and recommended a business development strategy for growth in targeted programs and agencies outside of the client’s current focus. JCG provided ongoing support to identify and qualify business opportunities, facilitated introductions and positioned the client with key agency decision makers and potential business partners, and provided proposal review and capture assistance.

Result:

JCG’s expertise enabled the company to define and communicate key discriminators to agency customers and industry partners. JCG’s business development infrastructure efforts created a more efficient and repeatable business development and capture process and provided the framework for the client’s growth. Through these efforts and JCG’s ongoing business development assistance, the client experienced significant revenue growth and was acquired within its desired timeframe by a highly regarded large business.
